New Fall Community Event – Race, Basketball, and the American Dream

This fall join Digital and Lifelong Learning as we showcase the research, discoveries, and ideas of UNC faculty. With these informative yet casual talks, we hope to further nurture and expand the bond between Carolina and the local community. We hope to see you there! On September 26th, we’ll kick things off with Race, Basketball, and the American Dream, presented by Associate Professor Matthew Andrews of the Department of History. Andrews will reveal the five players he thinks make up the all-star starting lineup that best evinces the dynamic relationship between race and basketball. When he’s finished, audience members will be encouraged to bring forward their questions, comments, and suggestions for different players they think should be on the list!
