June 9th, 2023 – Last Friday, UNC-Chapel Hill Correctional Education met with the North Carolina Prison Education Consortium (NCPEC) and the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections (NCDAC) as part of a shared commitment to transforming lives through education within correctional facilities. The agenda encompassed a range of important topics, including resource mapping, updates from the NCDAC, and planning for Pell Grant applications.
The meeting provided an invaluable opportunity for sharing best practices, exploring potential partnerships, and collectively shaping the future of prison education in our state.
