UNC-Chapel Hill Employees
UNC-Chapel Hill employees can use the tuition waiver program. Financial assistance may also be available through the Educational Assistance Program. For more information, contact the Benefits office.

Correctional Education
This program enables a limited number of qualified North Carolina inmates to enroll in correspondence and on-site classroom courses each year.

DANTES (Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support)
If you are an active member of the United States Armed Forces, you may be eligible for financial assistance with fees through the DANTES program. DANTES (Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support) is for active duty service members who desire to continue their education on a part-time basis outside the traditional classroom environment. Military Tuition Assistance
Military Tuition Assistance is a benefit paid to eligible members of the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, and National Guard. Each service has its own criteria for eligibility, obligated service, application processes, and restrictions. Contact the education benefits office at your base or visit the military education page for more information.
VA Benefits
If you are a veteran (or eligible beneficiary) or active duty military personnel who has completed 90 days or more of active duty service (30 days if discharged for disability), you may be eligible for VA benefits. To be eligible, you must already be admitted and enrolled in a degree program at an institution of higher education. Enrolling in Carolina Courses Online does not constitute admission to a degree program.
