Exam Proctoring Center

DLL provides a proctoring center to individuals who need to take a written or online exam in a supervised environment. Learners do not need to be a student at UNC-Chapel Hill to use these services.

Please register for your exam time at least 10 business days before the date you plan to take your exam.

As a COVID safety precaution, exam proctoring will be conducted via camera monitoring. Proctors will be on-site and available for consultation if needed.  In accordance with UNC-Chapel Hill guidelines, masks will no longer be required while in the Testing Center.

How to Register

Call or email the Friday Center (examproctoring@unc.edu or 919-962-3000) to confirm your time before registering for the exam. Then:

• Register here if you are affiliated with UNC-Chapel Hill (if you have a PID; if you are student, faculty, or staff)
• Register here for students/courses from other institutions

Your exam time is not reserved until you have registered and paid online.

If you are taking a class at an institution besides UNC-Chapel Hill — After you register for the exam, you must coordinate with your professor to have the exam sent to the Friday Center at examproctoring@unc.edu or by mailing to:

Exams are offered Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
There is a $15 fee for UNC-Chapel Hill course proctored exams and a $45 fee for non-UNC-Chapel Hill exams.
