Director of Communications and Marketing
Hilary Culbertson is DLL’s Director of Communications and Marketing, overseeing marketing, messaging, and branding for all DLL programs and offerings. Under her leadership, DLL’s marketing team provides market analyses for all new UNC-Chapel Hill degree programs, as well as consultation on professional/continuing education or online program pricing, branding, and marketing strategy.
Hilary joined DLL in 2019. Previously, she worked as a Senior Marketing Communications Specialist at Sonoco, a global packaging company (NYSE: SON), where she managed a global website redesign as well as strategic marketing campaigns and product branding. Before Sonoco, Hilary worked at several organizations within UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University.
Hilary holds a BA in Public Relations from the University of South Carolina and an MA in Art History from the University of Pittsburgh. Her professional interests include digital badging, promoting access for nontraditional students, and executive communications. Her personal interests include easy hikes with her family, cooking, and the timeless wisdom of Nora Ephron.
